1.3.3 TS-211 Audio/Video/Composite Baseband Level Meter

The TS-211 verified that the composite baseband output level from your descrambler or satellite receiver is of the proper level. This test set also is used to set audio and video levels in a commercial insertion system, cable headend, or other environment. Audio is measured in both RMS and relative peak. Video and composite baseband are measured in peak-to-peak volts.

3.3.3 TS-211 Audio/Video/Composite Baseband Level Meter

The TS-201 measures audio in volts or dB in a 2 volt or 10 volt range. Video and composite baseband are measured in volts over a 2 volt range.

3.3.3.1 Selecting the Audio or Video Mode

The mode is selected automatically by connecting an input signal to an audio or video connector.

3.3.3.2 Audio Mode Options

1. You can use either the push terminal connector or the RCA connector to input audio.
2. A slide switch selects the 2 volt or 10 volt range.
3. A slide switch selects a 600 ohm unbalanced or a high impedance unbalanced input.
4. The display indicates the audio level in both volts and dB.

3.3.3.3 Video Mode Options

1. You can use either the F connector or the BNC connector to input video.
2. Either baseband video or composite baseband can be input.
